In this repair video, we will be working on an ipad pro 12.9 1st gen that was mailed in to us for no power. Customer said he changed the screen on the ipad pro 12.9 and after doing so the ipad stopped turning on. The ipad pro would not power on and nothing shows up on the screen. We inspected the ipad pro 12.9 under the microscope and we noticed a blown filter that could possibly affect the touch functionality. We replaced the filter fixed the pads but ipad still not working. We inspected the ipad pro 12.9 motherboard under the flir thermal camera and discovered a short on the power IC. Power IC is what is causing the ipad not to charge or power on.
